I am currently working as a Senior Software Engineer on the New York Times’s Data Platform. I work as a leader within my team to build, support and continually improve a self-service data platform which enables analytical and operational teams to extract value and strategically target messaging to key audiences based on well-governed data from our data warehouse. I also drive towards establishing a shared understanding of data and software engineering best practices which can be utilized both within my team and across our data analytics and other engineering teams.
My prior experience also includes leading a team of engineers through the general election as an Engineering Lead for the Biden for President campaign. Prior to that, in the primary I built applications that were foundational to the success of the Biden campaign and were relied upon through election day.
Before shifting into tech, I worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Boston Scientific, a medical device manufacturer. There I was the line owner for an organic chemistry line which produced embolic polymer microspheres used for treating liver cancer.
Currently residing in the deep North woods, I'm looking to continue practicing my programming and leadership skills at a remote first/remote friendly organization. Feel free to contact me.
